The B.J. Ford Scholarship was established in 2012 in honor of the head coach for the inaugural women's basketball and softball teams at Armstrong, B.J. Ford. Last year's fourth Treasure Walk for Women's Athletics raised over $13,000 towards the scholarship. In total, the scholarship has raised more than $50,000. The B.J. Ford Scholarship is awarded to one student-athlete who competes on one of the six women's intercollegiate athletic teams - volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf or softball. The inaugural scholarship was awarded in 2013 to softball standout Shelby Duff, with volleyball player Christina Chow earning the scholarship in 2014 and softball player Alexis Mercer awarded the scholarship for 2015.
Help us fund the scholarship by joining us on Saturday, October 22th, for the fifth annual Treasure Walk for Women's Athletics!
