Arguably the finest outdoor sport surface in Savannah, the Armstrong Soccer Field serves as the home pitch for the AASU women's soccer squad. The 114 yds. x 72 yds. Tift 419 Bermuda grass pitche was constructed in early 2005 and hosts the 2009 Peach Belt Conference Tournament and 2010 Peach Belt Conference champion Lady Pirate soccer squad. The 300-seat venue is nestled beneath towering pine trees and features covered benches, a ground level press area, and a new and recently enlarged scoreboard. The Softball/Soccer Fieldhouse, which opened its doors in January 2007, provides an on-site dressing faciltiy with hand crafted wood lockers and an athletic training room for the team along with public restrooms and concession stand for spectators.
