Pirate Athletic Center (formerly Aquatics & Recreation Center)

A versatile multi-purpose sport facility, the Pirate Athletic Center (PAC) is home to the Armstrong volleyball team, which has earned 12 NCAA Championships berths in the last 15 seasons, including hosting the 2012 NCAA DII Southeast Regional, and has won Peach Belt Conference Championships in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015. Renamed prior to the 2016 season, the space has a seating capacity of approximately 1,000 and possesses a wireless sound system, complete with Bose speakers, and can accommodate two regulation size volleyball courts and five badminton courts. The bleachers were refurbished in the spring of 2008, the court was repainted and resurfaced for fall of 2011 and the lobby area, locker rooms and bathrooms were renovated for 2016. Pets are not allowed at Armstrong athletic facilities.
