The Armstrong State University baseball squad went 2-2 this week, beginning the week with a 7-3 loss to Belmont Abbey on Tuesday.

The Pirates then traveled to Georgia Southwestern for a three-game PBC series over the weekend. Georgia Southwestern won Friday night's first game of the series, 11-10, in 10 innings. The Pirates then rebounded on Saturday to sweep a doubleheader from the Hurricanes, 16-6 and 7-3, to earn their first PBC series win of the year.

This week, the Pirates travel to Albany State for a 6:00 p.m. contest with the Golden Rams. Armstrong State will then return home to host Young Harris in a three-game PBC series, beginning with a Noon doubleheader on Saturday and finishing up with a single game at 1 p.m. on Sunday. If Montevallo defeats North Georgia, the Pirates will tie for the PBC regular season title and earn the No. 1 seed for this week's PBC Tournament in Milledgeville. If North Georgia wins, the Pirates will be the No. 2 seed.

The PBC Tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, on the campus of Georgia College. Visit the tournament website for game times, matchups and links to live stats and live video all weekend long.
