Weekend Weather Alters Armstrong Athletic Schedules

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University athletic department has announced changes to its events this weekend due to expected inclement weather across the Coastal Empire area.

Friday's scheduled tennis dual match at Lander in Greenwood, S.C., has been pushed back to Monday, March 26th, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday's home dual match against USC Aiken is unaffected and the Pirates will host the Pacers in a dual match at 2:00 p.m. at Bacon Park.

The No. 20-ranked Armstrong baseball squad's home series against Francis Marion has been pushed back one day. Originally slated to begin on Saturday, the two teams will now play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at Noon, then wrap up the series with a single game on Monday at 2:00 p.m.

No. 16-ranked softball has also had its weekend altered due to the weather. The Pirates were scheduled to face Francis Marion on Saturday in Florence, S.C., but that doubleheader has now been moved to Tuesday, April 17, at 3:00 p.m. Sunday's scheduled doubleheader at UNC Pembroke is unchanged as of Friday.
