Jennifer Rushton finished her fifth year at Armstrong State University in 2016-17, serving as the Sr. Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services. She also serves as the Senior Woman Administrator for the Pirates.
Rushton’s main responsibilities include developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations. She serves as the co-chair of the University Compliance Committee and chairs the Gender Equity Committee. In addition, Rushton has served as the Tournament Director for several NCAA Regional events including men’s golf, women’s golf, softball and women’s soccer. Rushton also serves as the sport administrator for men’s tennis, women’s tennis and baseball at Armstrong State and is the advisor of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In addition, she is a member of the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer
Rushton joined the Pirates from Saginaw Valley State, where she has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Services. While at SVSU, Rushton was responsible for overseeing all compliance efforts, served as the sport administrator for eight sports and was the advisor of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining Saginaw Valley State, Rushton served in several capacities at her Alma Mater, Trine University from 2000-2008, including the Associate Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, Head Women’s Basketball coach and Sports Information Director.
A member of the Trine University Athletics Hall of Fame (1998) and Montrose Sports Hall of Fame (2004), Rushton was a four-year starter at Trine, earning All-Conference honors three times and NAIA All-American honors once. She graduated from Trine University with her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology and earned a Master’s of Science in Sports Management from Georgia Southern University.
