Armstrong Baseball Moves Up Again In National Rankings

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University baseball squad moved into the Top 20 in a pair of national polls after this weekend's series win over Southern Indiana.
The Pirates (8-1) jumped up four spots to No. 17 from No. 21 in the Collegiate Baseball Division II Top 30 Coaches' Poll. Armstrong took two of three games from Southern Indiana, who fell from No. 18 to No. 28 after the weekend action, and the Pirates' next opponent this weekend - Columbus State - moved up to a season-high ranking of No. 4 this week.

Armstrong also cracked the Top 20 in the Collegiate Baseball Lineup Division II rankings, coming in at No. 15 after the weekend's action. The Pirates moved up eight spots from No. 23 and this week's opponent for Armstrong, Columbus State, is currently ranked No. 13.

The Pirates will match up with the Cougars in a three-game Peach Belt Conference series beginning on Saturday, February 26th, with a 3:00 p.m. contest at Columbus State.
