LAKELAND, Fla. - The Armstrong State University men's golf team shot rounds of 299 and 306 to sit in 14th place after Monday's action at Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Fla.
The Pirates' two-round total of 605 is 14th out of the 15 teams competing in the field. West Florida (553) is leading the field by one stroke over Nova Southeastern (554), while Lynn (566) is in third, Barry (572) is fourth and North Alabama (576) is in fifth.
Freshman Spencer Ball leads the Pirates individually after shooting rounds of 74 and 77 to sit tied for 51st with a 151 total. Junior Andrew Burgess shot rounds of 74 and 78 to sit tied for 58th with a 152 total. Junior Ryan Emery is tied for 63rd after shooting rounds of 81 and 73 on Monday, while junior Jacob Tinsley is tied for 66th with consecutive rounds of 78. Freshman Max Trydefeldt rounded out the Pirates' scoring, shooting rounds of 73 and 85 to sit in 71st place.
Play concludes on Tuesday with a single round of 18 holes with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. for the Pirates.
