VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Armstrong State University men's golf team shot a first-round 309 to sit in 16th place after Sunday's action at the 2017 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
Florida Tech (283) leads by one stroke after the first day of action, ahead of West Florida (284), with Lynn (288), Florida Southern (294) and Barry (295) rounding out the top five teams on Sunday.
Junior Jacob Tinsley shot a first-round 76 to lead the Pirates individually on Sunday, tying for 48th place. Junior Tyler Key shot a 77 and is tied for 58th place, while freshman Spencer Ball and juniro Gustav Beckvid each shot first-round 78 scores and are tied for 68th. Senior Jake O'Bryan rounded out the Pirates' team scoring on Sunday with an 80, tying for 80th place.
