VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Armstrong State University men's golf team moved up one spot to 15th after Monday's action at the 2017 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.
The Pirates' 310 score amidst rainy conditions moved them up to 15th from 16th in the 18-team field with a two-day 619 total. West Florida (581) leads by three strokes over Lynn (584), with Florida Tech (588) in third, Barry (589) in fourth and Florida Southern and North Alabama tied for fifth with 594 scores.
Individually, junior Gustav Beckvid shot a two-over-par 74 on Monday to sit tied for 39th with a 152 total. Senior Jake O'Bryan also carded a 74 for a 154 total, tying for 53rd. Junior Jacob Tinsley shot a second-round 81 and is tied for 67th with a 157 total, while junior Tyler Key also shot an 81 to sit tied for 74th with a 158 total. Freshman Spencer Ball rounded out the Pirates' scoring on Monday with an 83, tying for 81st with a 161 total.
Play concludes at the 2017 First Federal Southeastern Collegiate with a single round of 18 holes on Tuesday. The Pirates will tee off beginning at 9:15 a.m. and you can follow along with live scoring of the tournament through Golfstat.
