Rain Washes Out No. 3 Pirates Match Against No. 2 Barry

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 3-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University men's tennis team's showdown with No. 2-ranked Barry made it through doubles play, but singles play was washed out by heavy rains on Saturday at Bacon Park.
The match will not be made up between the two schools.
The doubles results will still count towards individual rankings and team statistics. Those results saw Mikk Irdoja and Georgi Rumenov defeated Fabian Groetsch and Francisco Sigaud, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles for the Pirates while Eudaldo Bonet and Matus Mydla knocked off Romain Costamagna and Ollie Lemaitre, 8-2, at No. 3 doubles.
Barry's win in doubles came at No. 2 as Marco Mokrzycki and Leo Vivas downed Sven Lalic and Pedro Scocuglia, 9-7.
Armstrong returns to action on Sunday, hosting North Georgia in a 10:00 a.m. Peach Belt Conference match at Bacon Park.
