Women's Golf 8th At Flagler Fall Slam On Monday

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University women's golf team fired a first-round 326 to sit in eighth place at the Flagler Fall Slam on Monday at the Marsh Creek CC in St. Augustine, Fla.
The Pirates are 18 strokes behind team leader Lynn (308) over the par-72, 6,062-yard Marsh Creek course in a loaded 20-team field. Barry (312) is second, followed by USC Beaufort (318), Carson-Newman (319) and host Flagler (319).
Junior Kelly Pearce carded a seven-over-par 79 to lead the Pirates individually, tying for 15th place. Senior Victoria Bennett shot an 81 and is tied for 23rd individually, while senior Kim Knox and sophomore Kristen Sammarco each shot rounds of 83 to tie for 44th individually. Sophomore Jessica Tomberlin shot a 93 and is tied for 88th individually after first-round action.
Play in the Flagler Fall Slam concludes on Tuesday with a single round of 18 holes.
