PACE, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot rounds of 327 and 323 to sit in 13th place after Monday's first day of action at the UWF Argonaut Invitational, hosted at Marcus Pointe Golf Club in Pace, Fla.
Rollins College (607) leads the 18-team field by five strokes over Lee University (612), with Florida Tech (618) in third, host West Florida (626) in fourth and Nova Southeastern (628) in fifth. The tournament is being played at the site of the 2016 NCAA South Regional, which will take place in May.
Sophomore Sophie Bargeron carded rounds of 80 and 77 to finish Monday's action with a 157 total, tying for 23rd place. Senior Pamela Mosley shot rounds of 77 and 84 to sit tied for 39th individually with a 161 total. Sophomore Nikita Arjun is tied for 60th after rounds of 85 and 80 for a 165 total, while senior Brendie Rockholt is tied for 74th after rounds of 87 and 82 for a 169 total. Freshman Elena Pagni shot consecutive rounds of 85 to sit tied for 78th with a 170 total.
Play concludes at the UWF Argonaut Invitational with a single round of 18 holes on Tuesday beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring of the final round will be available through Golfstat.
