PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot a final-round 325 to finish 13th at the UWF Argonaut Invitational on Tuesday at Marcus Pointe Golf Club in Pensacola.
The Pirates' three-round 975 total was good for 13th out of the 18 teams competing. Rollins (916) captured the team title by nine strokes over Lee (925), with host West Florida (930) finishing third. Nova Southeastern (934) and Florida Tech (935) rounded out the top five schools in the field.
Sophomore Sophie Bargeron shot a final-round 77 to finish with a 234 total, tying for 17th individually in the tournament. Senior Pamela Mosley shot an 82 to finish tied for 48th with a 243 total, while senior Brendie Rockholt shot an 83 to finish tied for 76th with a 252 total.
Sophomore Nikita Arjun also tied for 76th with a 252 total after shooting an 87 on Tuesday. Freshman Elena Pagni rounded out the Pirates' scoring with a final-round 83, finishing in 78th place with a 253 total.
Armstrong State will now turn its attention to the 2016 Peach Belt Conference Championships on April 15-17 at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla.
