Women's Golf Finishes 10th At NCAA South Regional On Wednesday

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot a final-round 315 to finish 10th at the 2016 NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Regional at Marcus Pointe Golf Club on Wednesday in Pensacola, Fla.

The Pirates wrapped up their third NCAA championships appearance by finishing 10th with a three-day 934 score. Nova Southeastern (894) captured the regional by four strokes over Rollins (898), with Saint Leo (902) finishing third to round out the teams advancing to the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships in Denver.

For the Pirates, sophomore Nikita Arjun shot a final-round 77 to finish with a three-day 226 total, tying for 10th individually. Sophomore Sophie Bargeron also shot a 77 on Wednesday to finish tied for 17th with a 230 total, while freshman Bailey Buie shot a final-round 79 to finish tied for 42nd with a 238 total.

Senior Pamela Mosley shot a final-round 82 on Wednesday to finish in 60th place individually with a 244 total. Senior Brendie Rockholt shot an 83 to round out the Pirates' scoring in the regional, finishing tied for 63rd with a 246 total.

Mosley and Rockholt are the only two seniors for head coach Michael Butler and the Pirates and Armstrong State will return seven players for the 2016-17 season.
