Pirates Eighth After First Round Of Saint Leo Women's Golf Fall Invitational

DADE CITY, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot a first-round 309 to sit in eighth place after Monday's action in the 2016 Saint Leo Fall Invitational in Dade City, Fla.

The Pirates are eighth in the 13-team field at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club. Saint Leo (287) leads by five strokes over Lynn (292), with Flagler and Barry each tied for third after first-round 300 scores. Florida Tech and Shorter are tied for fifth with 304 scores.

Sophomore Jaycee Bunner leads the Pirates individually after a first-round 76, tied for 21st place. Junior Sophie Bargeron shot a 77 and is tied for 26th individually, while junior Nikita Arjun and freshman Eva Martinez Calavia each shot first-round 78 scores and are tied for 37th.

Senior Molly Molyneaux rounded out the Pirate team scoring with an 82, tied for 65th. Sophomore Bailey Buie, playing as an individual, shot an 81 and is tied for 61st 

Play concludes at the 2016 Saint Leo Fall Invitational on Tuesday with a single round of 18 holes, tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
