Women's Golf Tied For 12th After First Round Of Flagler Fall Slam Monday

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot a first-round 324 to sit tied for 12th after the first round of the Flagler Fall Slam on Monday at the Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.

The Pirates are tied with both Embry-Riddle and King (Tenn.) in 12th place in the 16-team field. Host Flagler and Barry University are tied for the lead after first-round 301 scores, with Seminole State (303) in third. Wingate and Limestone are each tied for fourth with 310 scores on Monday.

Junior Sophie Bargeron leads the Pirates individually, tying for 15th after firing a first-round 76 on Monday. Freshman Eva Martinez Calavia is tied for 26th after a first-round 78, while junior Nikita Arjun is tied for 55th after shooting an 82 on Monday.

Freshman Megan Sabol and sophomore Jaycee Bunner are tied for 77th after shooting first-round 88 scores, rounding out the Pirates' scoring on Monday.

The Flagler Fall Slam concludes on Tuesday with a single round of 18 holes with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
