ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Armstrong State University women's golf team shot a final-round 318 to tie for 11th place at the Flagler Fall Slam on Tuesday at Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
The Pirates finished the two-day tournament with a 642 total, tied with Carson Newman for 11th in the 16-team field. Barry (587) successfully defended its title, winning by 17 strokes over Flagler (604), with Seminole State (605) finishing third. Montevallo (607) finished fourth while Limestone and Wingate tied for fifth with 624 totals.
Junior Sophie Bargeron carded a final-round 78 to finish tied for 20th individually with a 154 score. Freshman Eva Martinez Calavia shot a 79 to finish tied for 32nd with a 157 score, while junior Nikita Arjun shot an 80 to finish tied for 49th with a 162 total.
Freshman Megan Sabol shot an 81 to finish tied for 67th with a 169 total, with sophomore Jaycee Bunner rounding out the Pirate team scores with an 85 on Tuesday, finishing tied for 73rd with a 173 total.
The tournament concludes Armstrong State's fall schedule. The Pirates will return to action in February with the spring portion of its slate.
