Sophie Bargeron Earns WGCA Scholar All-American Honors

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong State University junior Sophie Bargeron has been named to the Women's Collegiate Golf All-American Scholar team, announced by the WGCA today.

A total of 952 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were recognized on the team. To qualify, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better.

Bargeron becomes just the second Armstrong State women's golfer in program history to earn the accolade. The London, England, native carries a 3.60 GPA in Human Performance Management.

She joins Jenna Birch, who was a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar in 2012 and 2013, as the only Pirates to be so honored.
