No. 3 Pirates To Host NCAA Women's Tennis Southeast Regional April 30-May 1


SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 3-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University women's tennis team will host one of two NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Southeast Regional on April 30-May 1 at Bacon Park, announced Tuesday evening by the NCAA.

Armstrong (23-0) is the No. 1 seed in the Southeast Regional and will face No. 8 seed and fellow Peach Belt Conference school Augusta State (11-11) at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, in one regional semifinal match. The other semifinal match pits No. 4 seed Erskine (23-3) out of Conference Carolinas against No. 5 seed Flagler (9-9) from the Peach Belt, also at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

The winners will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday for a berth in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis National Championships at the Top Gun Tennis Academy in Louisville, Ky., on May 16-19 as a part of the 2012 NCAA DII Spring Championship Festival.
