Wolf, No. 16 Pirates Plunder Patriots, 3-0

FLORENCE, S.C. - Armstrong Atlantic State University junior Brittany Wolf hit .636 with a career high-tying 16 kills to lead the No. 16-ranked Pirates to a 3-0 Peach belt Conference volleyball victory over host Francis Marion on Tuesday evening in Florence, S.C. Set scores were: 25-23, 25-10, 25-18.
The Pirates (23-0, 8-0 PBC) hit .354 as a team in the match, while holding Francis Marion (7-13, 2-6 PBC) to a .152 team hitting percentage.
Wolf finished the night with 16 kills and only two errors in 22 attacks, leading the Pirates offensively, while adding four blocks. Junior Amanda Jones hit .333 with 10 kills, while junior Ashley Seal notched 37 assists and four service aces. Senior Stacey Davis added 11 digs.
Senior Casey Howett notched three digs in the third set to tie the Armstrong all-time dig record of 1,541, set by Christina Flores (2003-06).
Francis Marion was led by three players - Amanda Mitchell, Ashlee Crook and Megan Mooney - with six kills, while Nicole Bennett tallied 23 assists and reigning PBC Specialist of the Week Hallie Legg notched 11 digs.
The Pirates wrap up their two-match midweek road swing on Wednesday, visiting UNC Pembroke for a 7:00 p.m. PBC matchup against the Braves in Pembroke, N.C.
