SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University volleyball squad remained No. 16 in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, released Monday by the coaches' association.
The Pirates (22-0) picked up two wins last week, defeating Florida Southern, 3-1, on Monday for Armstrong's first win over the Mocs since 2003. Armstrong then defeated Tusculum, 3-0, on Saturday to set a new school record with its 11th straight home victory.
Armstrong has now been ranked in the last six polls and the Pirates remain one of only six undefeated teams in Division II. Concordia St. Paul remains the top-ranked team in the land, with fellow undefeated schools Tampa, Cal State San Bernardino and Minnesota Duluth ranked 2-4.
