Ho Phi Huynh, Ph.D, finished his third season as an assistant coach for the Armstrong State University volleyball squad in 2016.

A current assistant professor in the Armstrong State University's psychology department, Huynh joined the Pirates in 2014 after serving as a volunteer assistant at UC Riverside in 2013 and CSU San Bernardino in 2010 and 2012. He also has extensive youth coaching experience, coaching the U17 and U18 teams for Rancho Valley Volleyball Club in San Bernardino from 2010-14 as well currently serving as the head coach of the U17 team at Club Savannah.

Huynh played club volleyball at his alma mater, the University of Arizona, from 2006-07. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona in 2008 as well as his master's degree in social/personality psychology from UC Riverside in 2011. Huynh also received his doctorate in social and health psychology from UC Riverside in 2014.
